Box Office Report - Feb 13 - 16

This Presidents Day weekend was a record-setting one. The return of Jason Voorhees prompted horror fans to turn out in record numbers and propelled this pseudo remake into first place with $45 million. Despite mostly negative reviews, audiences forked over cash to be scared by one of the most recognizable film villains in history. Apparently watching pretty people die in any number of bizarre ways was a great way to escape from all the bad news - and bad weather - hitting the United States.
