Priyanka Chopra has become the first Indian actress to be given the chance to cast her footprints in the famous Salvatore Ferragamo Museum. Now if anyone has doubts regarding the enormity of the honour that came knocking for Priyanka, read this.
The Museum situated in Florence was built in 1995 in the memory of Salvatore Ferragamo, who is considered as the greatest shoe designer of the world. The Museum which is considered as the temple of shoe design has a collection of over ten thousand models of shoes created by the designer over a period of 40 years.
Speaking about her experiences in Italy, Priyanka said “Salvator’s son, Leonardo who manages the family business, hosted a dinner on Tuesday at his home in my honour. It was very nicely done. I was happy to be at the receiving end of their attention. The museum has foot casts of famous personalities like Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren and Drew Barrymore. And now it has my foot cast too. The Ferragamos are going to send me custom-made shoes regularly and of course, their bags.
Other than Priyanka, Maharani of Cooch Behar- Indira Devi is the only other Indian to have cast her footprints at the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum. Source
