The Max Stardust Awards 2009 were announced in a function in Mumbai and the film ‘Ghajini’ got the hottest film award at the function. The award function had three awards for Aamir Khan produced film “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na” and Amitabh Bachchan got the Best Actor Award in the category of Searchlight Awards.
Bollywood actors were also awarded for readers’ choice sections and Anil Kapoor got a special award for promoting Bollywood movies overseas. Dev Anand got awarded for his contribution to Indian cinema and Feroz Khan got the Pride of the Industry award.

New Musical Sensation (Female): Anmol Malik (‘Talli’ (Ugly Aur Pagli))
Standout Performance (Music Director): Dhruv Ghanekar (”Drona”)
Standout Performance (Lyrics writer): Kausar Munir (”Falak tak chal” of ‘Tashan’)
Editor’s Choice Award for Most Promising Director: Abhishek Kapoor (“Rock On!”)
